Asim was born and raised in Oldham and completed his undergraduate training at the University of Manchester. He has worked in general dental practice since.
Asim is extremely passionate about keeping up-to-date with the most modern techniques and treatments, particularly in the restorative and surgical dentistry fields. He has spent significant time and effort travelling across the UK and around the world to learn and develop over the years. He achieved membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at The Royal College of Surgeons and went straight back into university to achieve a Master in Restorative Dentistry at the world-renowned Eastman Dental Institute in London.
Asim is currently travelling to learn from and visit the most prestigious dentists and universities across Europe as part of a 3-year programme to further develop his skills and knowledge in restorative and advanced dental implant procedures. He has achieved Associate member status with the College of General Dentistry, Full member status with the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and is an active member of the Salford Local Dental Committee.
Asim also teaches other dentists and colleagues, by teaching and lecturing on private courses and through mentorship programmes; both here in the UK and international-ly. He is passionate about helping other clinicians develop and improve their confidence and the quality of care they are providing.
Asim is also particularly interested in digital technologies and how they are transforming the patient experience to make visits to the dentist more efficient, comfortable and predictable. Ultimately, we aim to continuously improve our patient’s journey and these technologies will help us to produce the best outcomes we can provide.
Currently, Asim carries out most aspects of general dentistry with a fantastic clinical support team around him. He has developed a particular interest in restorative, dental implant, reconstructive, aesthetic and cosmetic Dentistry, along with an interest in treating patients with the Invisalign orthodontic system (adult braces). This means treating patients with anything from a single-tooth problem or missing tooth up to a complete smile makeover and rehabilitation for patients with multiple broken and missing teeth. Asim and the team are able to work with patients to help completely transform and restore mouths that are no longer providing the cosmetics and function a person would want to live a comfortable and happy life.
Asim is currently accepting both existing and new patients for these treatments and takes referrals from other dentists and medical colleagues. Many patients in the past have commented on Asim’s calm and gentle approach, particularly with nervous patients, and for being a great communicator with both patients and the rest of the team.
Away from the surgery, Asim enjoys spending time with family and friends and is married with a young daughter. He loves to travel and enjoys walking, reading and football.
